What you need to know

- Clinic is located on the 3rd Floor of the Student Union (RM 315)

- Walk-in counseling hours are available Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

- No appointment needed

- Sessions are free 

- Students are seen on a first come, first served basis

- A walk-in session involves meeting with a counselor for a brief consultation.

- After the session, the counselor will make recommendations that may include: starting services at one of our primary counseling centers (SCC or ASAC), other counseling services (on or off campus), or a referral to campus resources.

- Walk-in, phone, and virtual sessions are available.  Please call or stop by our walk-in desk and you will be scheduled for the next available walk-in appointment.



If you are looking to start ongoing counseling or are in need of crisis counseling services, please stop by the Student Counseling Center (320 Student Union), or call our front desk at: 405-744-5458.


After 5 p.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays, a counselor may be reached by contacting the OSU Police, 405-744-6523.




What concerns can I discuss?

Some issues that students have brought to our walk-in clinic, included but are not limited to: a recent death, confusion about how to help a friend in distress, questions about counseling and how it can help, questions about mental health and other resources on campus, communication issues with spouse or partner, concerns about intrusive thoughts or unwanted behaviors, and much more.



University Counseling Services does not provide learning disability evaluations, ADHD/ADD assessments or letters recommending emotional support animals. We also does not provide services related to court testimony or legal proceedings.
