Services

Student Counseling Center (SCC) services include individual, group, grief and substance abuse counseling. The SCC also offers a walk-in clinic, crisis counseling and psychiatric services.

The SCC does not provide learning disability evaluations, ADHD/ADD assessments or letters recommending emotional support animals. The SCC also does not provide services related to court testimony or legal proceedings.

 

Walk-in Clinic

The Walk-in Clinic (no appointment needed), open Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., is free and involves meeting with a counselor for a brief consultation session. After the session, the counselor will make recommendations that may include referral to campus resources or other counseling services.

 

Crisis Counseling

If you are a student with an urgent need, an on-call counselor is available. Examples of urgent needs include thoughts of harming yourself, thoughts of harming others, recent sexual assault or a recent traumatic experience. After 5 p.m. weekdays and weekends, counseling staff may be reached by contacting the OSU Police, 405-744-6523.
