Services

Student Counseling Center (SCC) services include individual, group, grief and substance abuse counseling. The SCC also offers a walk-in clinic, crisis counseling and psychiatric services.

The SCC does not provide learning disability evaluations, ADHD/ADD assessments or letters recommending emotional support animals. The SCC also does not provide services related to court testimony or legal proceedings.

 

TAO

Therapy Assistance Online Self-Help is a completely private online library of behavioral health resources that includes interactive educational modules and practice tools to help you understand and manage how you feel, think and act. You can sign up here.

 

Walk-in Clinic

The Walk-in Clinic (no appointment needed), open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., is free and involves meeting with a counselor for a brief consultation session. After the session, the counselor will make recommendations that may include referral to campus resources or other counseling services.

 

Crisis Counseling

If you are a student with an urgent need, an on-call counselor is available during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Examples of urgent needs include thoughts of harming yourself, thoughts of harming others, recent sexual assault or a recent traumatic experience. After 5 p.m. weekdays and weekends, counseling staff may be reached by contacting the OSU Police, 405-744-6523.

 

Call SAM

Call SAM (Student Assistance by Mercy) is a FREE 24-hour call center staffed with counselors who will assist you in getting the help you need. It’s completely confidential. 1-855-225-2SAM (2726)
