About Us
About our clinic
University Counseling Services is composed of the Student Counseling Center, the Alcohol
and Substance Abuse Center, Walk-in Clinic, and Reboot Center. UCS supports the OSU
mission through efforts to assist students in improving the quality of life so that
personal and intellectual growth can be fostered, values can be clarified and knowledge
can be interrelated for use in improving the campus and larger environments for future
generations.
Our services
University Counseling Services offers a range of clinical and support services provided
by licensed and license-eligible counselors and psychologists. Psychiatric services,
including evaluations and medication prescription and management are also available
through a partnership with University Health Services.
Our clinical services include individual and group therapy, grief and crisis counseling,
and consultations through our walk-in clinic. On-call counselors are available every
hour of every day to respond to mental health emergencies. Parents may consult counselors
about a student’s unique circumstances. Confidentiality limits information that can
be shared for students already receiving services.
Our support services include the Reboot Center, Outreach Events & Workshops, and the
University Counseling Podcast.

Information for Parents & Family
The transition to OSU can be exhilarating, full of challenges and changes. However,
some students experience distress and difficulty adjusting to college life, which
may result in greater emotional or psychological needs. The Student Counseling Center
(SCC) has clinical staff and resources to help.
